What is the difference between the NHS Right to Choose pathway and your private pathway?

The clinical service is identical. The difference is funding and speed. NHS RTC is fully funded by your ICB — no cost to you — but requires a GP referral and is subject to NHS processes. The private pathway requires no GP referral, can typically be booked within a few weeks, and gives you direct control over timing. Some patients in Kent and Medway choose the NHS RTC pathway for cost reasons; others choose private for speed or convenience.
