Dr Mohamed Yaasir Mohamudbucus - Consultant Psychiatrist
Dr Mohamudbucus is a Consultant Psychiatrist currently working in a general adult acute male inpatient unit and providing private psychiatric assessments in London. He is GMC registered and holds MRCPsych qualifications. With over eight years of NHS experience, Dr Mohamudbucus has developed a strong foundation in managing complex and treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions. He is an Approved Clinician and has a special interest in mental health law, neurodevelopmental disorders, service improvement, and medical education.
Dr Mohamudbucus completed his MBChB at the University of Birmingham in 2017 and went on to complete core psychiatry training, with placements in early intervention in psychosis, learning disability, and old age psychiatry. His training included 24 months in general adult psychiatry, covering acute wards, psychiatric intensive care units, and outpatient clinics. He has worked in a variety of settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitation units, and has developed skills in helping patients achieve their best potential following episodes of acute mental health disorders.
He has a special interest in assessing patients with neurodevelopmental conditions and currently conducts private ADHD assessments. Dr Mohamudbucus is also experienced in conducting Mental Health Act assessments and writing tribunal reports. He has a strong commitment to medical education and has served as an examiner for medical students and as a supervisor for resident doctors. He is actively involved in audit, research, and quality improvement projects, and has contributed to national conferences and publications.
