Dr Paige James — Clinical Psychologist | Lifespan Practice | Neuropsychological & Autism Assessment
Dr Paige James is an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist with seven years of NHS experience working across the lifespan. She currently practises as a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist within Community CAMHS at North East London Foundation Trust (NELFT), where she delivers evidence-based psychological therapies, completes psychological and neuropsychological assessments, supervises assistant and trainee psychologists, and contributes to service development.
Paige completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Salomons Institute for Applied Psychology, with training spanning secondary care adult mental health, eating disorders, community adult learning disabilities, paediatric health psychology at the Evelina Cleft Service, and community older adults. This breadth has equipped her to work flexibly across age groups and presentations, integrating CBT, DBT, Compassion-Focused Therapy, narrative and systemic approaches within formulation-driven, individualised care.
Her clinical interests include trauma, mood and anxiety, eating disorders, neurodevelopmental presentations (autism and learning disabilities), and adjustment to physical health conditions. She is trained in ADOS-2 and 3Di for autism assessment, has completed WAIS and broader neuropsychological testing across adult and older adult populations, and has experience delivering Family Therapy for Eating Disorders (FT-AN). Paige is also a co-author on a peer-reviewed validation paper for the Youth Over- and Under-Control (YOU-C) screening measure, published in the International Journal for the Advancement of Counselling.
Paige is committed to evidence-based, compassionate care that supports long-term recovery. She works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families, and has experience leading CPD teaching for trainee Clinical Associate Psychologists.
