Kiran Abbaraju - Child and Adolescent (CBT & EMDR) Therapist & Clinical Lead
Kiran Abbaraju is a highly experienced Child and Adolescent CBT & EMDR Therapist with over 10 years’ specialist NHS experience across CAMHS, IAPT and senior clinical leadership roles.
She currently works in clinical and strategic leadership positions within children and young people’s mental health services in Kent, overseeing mood, anxiety and trauma pathways, Primary Care Network (PCN) mental health services, and multidisciplinary teams across multiple agencies.
Kiran brings together advanced therapeutic expertise and system-level leadership, delivering evidence-based psychological therapies while also shaping service development, supervision frameworks and workforce training. She has a particular special interest in working with children and young people with ASD, ADHD and complex comorbid presentations, using adapted and trauma-informed approaches.
Alongside her clinical work, Kiran is a Practice Tutor at the Anna Freud Centre, contributing to national postgraduate leadership programmes for professionals working in children’s mental health services.
