Dr Sophia Holliday is an empathic, highly experienced Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who has dedicated almost two decades to supporting young people’s mental health. Families value her friendly, calm manner, which helps children relax and feel heard from the very first meeting. Her clinical expertise spans the full spectrum of emotional and behavioural difficulties, with a special focus on ADHD and other neuro‑developmental conditions.

Associate Medical Director for Kent CAMHS & eating disorder services (May 2022 – present)
Consultant Psychiatrist, Swale CAMHS (2017 – present)
 • Leads multidisciplinary assessments for acute and long‑term mental health, neuro‑developmental and learning‑disability presentations.
 • Prescribes and monitors psychotropic medication, integrating evidence‑based psychological therapies where beneficial.
 • Supervises core and higher psychiatric trainees, shaping the next generation of CAMHS specialists.
 • Acts as senior clinician in safeguarding, Mental Health Act assessments and court reporting.

Earlier in her career, Dr Holliday trained in world‑renowned centres including the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust (community CAMHS, inpatient, paediatric liaison and neuro‑developmental teams) and completed her core psychiatry training at University College London hospitals, gaining broad experience across general adult, learning‑disability, psychotherapy and older‑adult services.
